Fishing, catch & release policy

My apologies if I offended you.

One day I got bored of my lucky commute through 10 miles of twisty roads. I miss riding along and getting my doors blown off by a rider going twice as fast. Hasn't happened in awhile. So I slowed down hoping for some company. And I got one! But he was going the other direction. I flipped a u-turn and got behind him leaving tons of room so he didn't think I was going to pass. He was riding with a passenger. Jean shorts, sneakers, no full face. Not even three corners later he is blowing more than one double yellow on a blind corner. Sheeeeeesshhh. That's a catch-and-release. Slowed wayyy down until he was out of sight and hoped I didn't come up on a mess. Later on we were stopped at a red light and shot the shit for a bit, no hard feelings, but no words to the riding. Should I have said something?

What's your catch and release policy?

I think I need to get to the track :laughing

I don't even. Unless they are engaging me, I just dont.

Not sure if this falls into this but...
About 6 mos back I'm returning from a morning ride to Bolinas from SF...

And Im suddenly behind a group of what turned out to be chp motor trainees. They actually waved me past. Of course Im thinking it's a trap, but go around anyway.

I settled into what is my "semi relaxed" fastish pace, easily over the new speed limits and they pretty much just hung in there, no fall back, no overtake.

They peeled off at the Muir Beach overlook as I headed down that hill.
Of course I'm still wondering if they're calling ahead to have me cited by the real cops.

I agree with this, especially the bolded. My intention when fishing is to find a buddy to ride at the right Pace. I don't think I will be fishing too much in the future. Thanks all for your feedback, experiences, and advice.

I was on the way home yesterday, minding my own business stopped at a stop sign and a BMW M5 Dinan ripped past me :devil It was just what I was looking for; someone who wicks up the speed to a reasonable level without getting reckless. He waved me by at one point with a thumbs up and at the end of the fun bit at the stop light we gave each other the approving nod
