Flashbacks - Name the BARFer

This is a great thread. what's crazy, speaking as a second wave OG, is that folks that joined during Covid are pretty old school established members here.
You know, you cued me to go look at my join date again, and holy crap, i didn't realize i've been on here for almost 20 years...

And if I recall... you came up from Merced or Medera to attend one of Connie's / BARF Libmo meets, around 2008 or so.

I did, from Fresno....that was probably the time I brought better half's ninjette (because mine needed new rubber)...I remember the stretch from Tracy past Carnegie was fun on the way in, and heading back over altamont in the dark in traffic was a bit....exciting.

There was another time I rode up from fremont (forget why I was in fremont to begin with), and Razel saved my ass by leading me most of the back to my hotel after my gps was dead from taking a tumble on 680.

RIP @Razel. He was a rad dude who gave a lot to support newer riders.

Agreed, and the above is a perfect example. A month into my license and a low side in Friday evening traffic on 680 on the way to the meet...having an experienced sane rider to follow to get back was a godsend.

BARF is so blessed to have a lot of amazing people. My time has been collected here historically and some of those times have been awesome riding stuff!!…. and a lot of people in this thread shared them.

When I sit and think about the two plus decades hanging with ya’ll I feel a bit of wow.

Nice to see your mug!!

I hope Far far away is great to you.

If memory serves that's Bill's (Engine Boy) crotch-shot on the stretcher. Crashed at the tight turns on H25 just south of La Gloria Rd. That' s me in the stitch helping a firefighter over the fence. He got pretty busted up, took some time to heal.

Yessir, thanks to you and the others that helped me that day. You all played a part that most likely saved my life that afternoon.
