Foot relief!

This works well. https://www.google.com/shopping/product/1176868277350000634?q=foot+massage+ball&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=pv.xjs.s.en_US.9CjFb4DKbRI.O&tch=1&ech=1&psi=gnE0U4C7LcrzoATPsILABg.1395945859266.3&ei=g3E0U9zJFIeGogTosYAo&ved=0CK8BEKYrMAM

I have metatarsalgia in my left foot. Woke up one morning feeling like I stepped on a rock, feeling wouldnt go away. Mine's beneath the small and next toe over.

Insoles to support the entire foot are needed. Your arches may be collapsing OR you have high arches and your shoes dont support them.

I have various kinds of these in several shoes. Def in my dress shoes for work that have no cushioning. I also stopped using my minimal type shoes. They provide no support and are not rigid.

These insoles splay the foot out and support the metatarsal and help blood flow and it to heal. Really help. I can walk barefoot now again. All my shoes now have something like this. Massaging helps. Shoes with wide tow box too. The little pads I slips underneath the insoles already in the shoe. It makes the bump my gradual for my foot and usually I dont have use the adhesive on the back and can place them in other shoes. All has worked. I'm back to jump roping without pain.

Dubs has a good thing there. Particularly if you have high arches. Wet the bottom of your foot and then stand on a piece of paper, dry area or something that will transfer the water. If the water transfer is flat and long, flat foot. If there is a heel, narrow bridge and then wide at the toes, you have high arches, with which come a shit load of problems very different than flat feet. I paid a couple hundred bucks for machine made custom orthotics, which are better than the $500 ones I bought.

Thanks Dubbs! I actually just purchased some Metapads and they are doing wonders. I have very high arch feet which I am finding out in my middle age suck and its only going to get worse.

Have you heard of aetrex? I am looking into their inserts for relief but they want 80 bucks!

You spend more than 80 bucks on moto tires, right? Why not spend more on something that you spend most of your life on, the feet?

It's worth it. I got custom from these guys for $200:

Well all you whiners better pray for an early death, cause there is no way you will be able to handle old age. :laughing

I'm just in shock at the price. Once my feet make their decision, my money will follow. Those are some stellar Yelp reviews.

Those are made on a really neat machine with an amazing measuring machine. Hi tech.

The old ones that were hand made would have made your faint at $600 a pair in 1985 dollars. I still have a set of those fuckers.

Many good suggestions already in here.

As for your original request, you can find all sorts of crazy massagers and spiked balls/dumbbells/whatevers in Chinatown (SF or Oakland).

Really, just go and take a look, you'll see all sorts of stuff that'll make you go :wtf

Custom arch and ball of foot supports I'm certain are worth. My issue is I wear many different shoes in different sizes. Dress shoes are usually tighter so full orthotics don't fit.

Pedag make great insoles of many different styles. The pic below shows my first pair Berkmann $70 sob's. I needed them badly and a foot store in Fremont had them. 7 months old now. I woke up one morning to see my female dog chewing the shit out of the heel and the left one which I need of course.

The left one is a $15 half length for dress shoes or those with existing insoles that can't. come out. I like them. I may add some tape to raise the ball to push more against my foot.

I'll eventually get this kit of 3 pairs of insoles. I had the sport version on the left.... We'll I currently gave the right one. The left which I need is in my house somewhere. I use them in my gym shoes and they work great. Cushion with rigid arch and metatarsal pad. The met pad is not as pronounced as I'd like and early one was adding another to the underside.

Spenco makes a great insole with great amazon reviews. I'd order a size up and trim it. It's too narrow for my liking.
