Ok, maybe it's just me, but I'm getting mixed messages from reading this...

Carification:

I would have wanted to have it at Lake Elizabeth however the majority of the people that have voted up to now chose Quarry Lakes so majority rules.

ON another note:

Ok everybody I checked and apparently the parking fee is $5 and this is what the website says about alcohol:

"Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in Quarry Lakes, except by permit within reservable picnic areas."

Sounds like we need to get a reservation permit. With this in mind, does everybody still want to have it there?

I think we should change it for Lake Elizibeth then cause I don't feel $5 to park my bike is justifiable when I only take up 1/4 the space of a car... Plus not beer... well only with a permit what kind of ish is that, I thought this was a free country???

If we do Lake Elizibeth someone has to get there real early in the morning like 6-7 to reserve the picnic area... any volunteers??

Rob-Kristi since you are co organisers I think you should talk it over and then post up the final desicion, let me know , call me or pm me you both have my numer...

I just saw that the BBQ is set for 1-4pm???

Is it just me or does this seem a really short amount of time and since its going to be the weekend won't the pinic spaces BBQ's be taken up by that time...

I can get there kinda early...and I'll bring utensils and napkins to the :bbq Let me know what I can do.

I may bring some type of side dish..maybe a potato/mac salad.

I don't think beer is allowed at Lake Elizabeth either. The only reason it is allowed in Quarry Lakes is only if the picnic spot is reserved for that specific party. (I know I can be wrong). Not that I'm firm on Quarry Lakes, I just think its a nice clean place for adults & kids. Majority rules, I'm down for where ever.

So far:

Rob - Beer and sodas
Dean - Hot dogs and buns and Mustard, and some chips
Kevin - Utensils and napkins
Rich - Shrimp & chicken salad

Let me know what is needed or I can bring a dish...

When we had our bbq last time we were drinking and there were many other people drinking there too. (Lake Elizabeth) That place is also clean and has nice green grass to chill or play sports.

We still need main dishes ie burgers, meat, etc.
Side dishes.
Water
Local Fremont people (bbq grill)
Charcoal

and im sure im forgetting other stuff.

It's always good to have a plan B. You never know how much earlier other people will arrive and claim those bbq grills.

Rob - Beer and sodas
Dean - Hot dogs and buns and Mustard, and some chips
Kevin - Utensils and napkins
Rich - Shrimp & chicken salad
Kristi - Burgers, buns, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, ketchup.

They sell those lil mini grills if needed at da store like walgreens for about $10. That's what they used at the Felton BBQ and it was :drool.

:thumbup Thanks for dat info. Ro, and come to think of it....
to add to the list of things we could have, I think there should be a margarita pitcher. It'll look like lemonade (sorta) so there's no issue w/ the alcohol there..iono, good or bad idea? lol.

3 liter CamelBak's make a good transportation source for margaritas.
