FRICKD'UPS Crazy motorcycle adventures in thailand

as some of you know i have just moved to thailand....to be operations director of a motorcycle trackday school. i figured i would start a thread to show everybody my adventures on two wheels.

so the first order was to get a proper race bike (k7 gsxr 1000) and as many parts as i could. bikes are much more expensive (17-18k$$ for a k6 1000) due to a 30% import tax on bikes and spares. the way around??? send frame and engine separate as spare parts, then i took EVERYTHING else on the airplane.

another "goodbye" party....my poor liver...... party got a little trashy.

then had to say goodbye to kitty

after hopping on the airplane for a nice 1 hour flight to Tokyo...where they had this nifty sign...which led to this crazy toilet.

and this crazy cool machine!!!!!! push the button and out comes beer!!! mmmm beeerrrrrrrr. i almost burned the poor thing out!!!!!

used my miles to upgrade us to business class...look at that leg room and menu!!!!!

so the next day it was straight to the office to see what was new and how my xr650r was....she was dusty and in need of some love so i put a new filter, spark plug and oil change.

my lady was there to help...

after another day of recovery it was time to head west of bangkok for the honda cup race. thats graham my business partner driving.

thats the road into the track....a bit bumpy

and our 20$ hotel which should have been around 10$...it was a converted parking garage...... at least there was ample room for our gear.

this guy was doing some awesome circle wheelies on an automatic scooter!!!!!

i did a honda colored racing stripe on my head for the race......beer...

so the trackday was FREE...lunch,soda,water,track time,video games...all free!!!

well i am off to bed for the night..... tomorrow pics of the trackday, the bikes and the race where i placed........

i thought i was dumb for forgetting my knee sliders at home but check out this lack of gear......only in thailand

jeans with knee sliders?????? and that one guy's leathers look liked he dragged them behind his truck on the way to the track.
