Race is a social construct, so it is possible to be apart of the Jewish race (which is stupid because society doesn't call Christians a race or any other religion for that matter a race). But there is no such thing as a Jewish ethnicity (simply because it is a religion and not a place of origin).

Jewish is an ethnicity as well as a religion. I doubt the Nazis really cared whether or not someone observed the religion... If you looked jewish, you are in trouble.
