Game of Thrones Season Seven (NO SPOILERS!)

So Daenerys lands in Dragonstone, the same location where there is rumored to be Dragonglass, which Sam just told Jon about via raven. Seems like the alliance with Jon & Daenerys has been set in motion.

Anyone want to guess what Euron plans on gifting Cersei to win her trust? My guess would be Tyrion. Timing seems proper with his arrival at Dragonstone, a short distance from King's Landing.

I dunno. Isn't Valaryian steel (however you spell it) also a way to kill white walkers? So, looking at that map of the island, the stash of dragonglass / obsidian doesn't appear to be in the center, more right on the coast / edge of the island. Now, WE know that damascus steel and whatnot doesn't have obsidian in it, and mixing rock / glass with steel would probably not work in real life. On the other hand, in the GoT universe, what if Euron brought Cersei a dragonglass/valaryian steel mine? Isn't that what made the Lannisters top dogs and super rich before? Having control of gold mines, that Tywin said had run dry 3 years ago? I would imagine an actual source / foundation of wealth with which to rebuild the Lannister name would be pretty high up as far as an offering.

Imagine:
- White walkers confirmed
- War kicks off
- Everyone who hates Cersei realizes they're well and truly fucked with very little dragonglass/valaryian steel to fight the white walkers
- Cersei goes "yo bitches I have the literal key to victory here"
- Every enemy pledges allegiance and money to Cersei in return for steel and dragonglass

Only problem is getting it away from Dany / Jon / etc. 3 way battle for control of the mines / stockpile.

They only need enough dragonglass to kill the king and his henchmen. All other whites can be killed by normal means.

Valaryan steel is made from dragonglass

All I could think was ... you guys gonna die. :laughing

That's what I was wondering too. But the guys also didn't seem like they were very invested in the cause. No sword draw to protect self when hearing horse approach. (let alone the fact they even let it get that close before noticing).

Me thinks she could turn the lot of them to see things her way.

Yeah that's what I thought. So there you go - the most sought-after sword steel in the land, which also happens to be the key to defeating an enemy the entire land needs to unite against, controlled by a single family. Maybe. If she can get it.

Yeah, they didn't seem too invested in it to me either. Lots of humanizing Lannister soldiers there and making them out to be basically young kids who couldn't care less about the family anymore, not brutes and torturers like the ones Arya dealt with before.

I forget what the count is on valerian swords still out there. Jon has one, Sam has one, Ned's sword was melted down by Tywin to make Jaime's and Joffrey's swords, that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I also forget outside of Jon, if the other valerian steel sword owners know they can kill the wights.

The only problem is Cersei is half a step into the realm of madness. No more kids to build a dynasty for (just for her and Jaime). Surrounded by enemies. She has the look of someone who just wants to annihilate everybody (reminiscent of the Mad King). I don't think she has it in her to 'save' the 7 Kingdoms from the White Walkers (if she even believes in them).

She cannot rule/look into the far future... she is blindsided by rage and grief and will project/focus her power in destroying her obvious enemies/families in her current line of sight.

I don't think Cersei cares about saving the 7 kingdoms from the white walkers.

Somebody definitely gonna take her out.

Cersei wheels and deals to get the steel
Jamie kills her and marries someone and produces more kids
????
Profit!

Meh, this episode was a waste, just re-hashing a whole bunch of setups that had already been set up without resolving them. Yup, Sam is learning how to defeat the white walkers with the maesters, we learned that before. Yup, Cersei is a crazy bitch who will likely die at the hand (ha!) of her brother, we learned that before. Yup, Dany is going to start a campaign, we learned that before. What's new? Oh, the Greyjoy is going to bring a gift to Cersei. Mostly a waste of an episode. And not a titty in sight.

I'm hoping Cersei and her brother fucker get destroyed rather quickly by the Dragon Queen and her army. I'm a bit bored with her story.

Jamie is definitely going to kill Cersei. She was already told she will die at her brothers hand, she assumes Tyrion, but it is definitely KingQueen Slayer.

She is going to do some fucked up shit before she dies. Guaranteed.

I thought the knowledge for making Valerian steel was lost when the Valerians died off?

Besides, Cercie may be a master at court manipulation and intrigue she's no match for the Mother of Dragons in her ability to mobilize entire nations of people. There is no way in hell Cercie takes Dragonhome, or whatever it's called, while Khaleesi is camped there.

Was that the whole gist of the "are you afraid of me?" discussion they had? I think she already knows. She seems extremely apocalyptic in every manner now.

I truly truly hope it is Tyrion that gets the pleasure of killing Cersei! "Remember when you pinched my d!@k you crazy c@&t!!!! TAKE THAT!!"

Additionally I hope Jamie has a chance to kill him first, but doesn't, and Cersei sees the whole thing.

Was that a typo? Why do you want Tyrion to die? He's the best person on the show.

I interpreted Mr. Cycle to mean that Jaime would have the opportunity to kill Tyron but would not do so, and Cersei would witness. :)
