Gold Country Ride - June 22

I don't have exact routes just yet, but we're thinking it'd be fun to get a fairly long ride together for the weekend of the 22nd. Originally we though the 15th, but w/ Father's Day that could be a bit problematic.

So we're planning on riding out to Angel's Camp, then up to Jackson, and back home. Shouldn't be much over 200 or 300 miles, I'm guessing, and should provide some gorgeous scenery up in the Gold Country.

This is a preliminary post to see how many people would be interested. We can start planning specific routes once we figure out if it's really going to happen or not. :D
 
I don't know where any of that is but GOLD thars Gold up in them thar hills!!! I am IN! hope we stop in some cool little towns and stuff too! :)
 
Depending on how early the group leaves, I'd be down with going as far as Angels Camp. I'll need to keep pressing on to Ely, NV before sundown, but it would be nice to have company along for the first part of the day.

Does anybody know Nevada well enough to recommend whether 50 or 6 would be better for extended open highway blasting? Don't want to have to spend too much time on the straight stuff! :)
 
I am interested and I am off work that day. It will all depend on what the status of my bike is at that time. You know with the dump trophy and all. Actually, it looks worse than it is. Just waiting on new mirror. Almost embarrased to ride it. the gravel really tore up the fairing on left side.

Depending on how early the group leaves I may have a slim chance of going... Wedding in the afternoon to go to however. I Could not go... that'd be soo bad of me. Temptations.

Nah, I'm going to the Tsun wedding. Or at least I think I am. :rolleyes
 
not sure how Rakitty and I will feel after Buttonwillow the week before, but sounds like we'd be in otherwise! :chuci:teeth
 
Sounds extremely tempting, more photo ops.....hmmm....thats a definite maybe for me...just waiting on the details
