he's a stunter. Stunters do crazy shit so's as to come up with the next big stunt. Stuntmen in the movie/entertainment business do the same thing. Always got to one-up the other guy.

Shoot, if Evil Knievel were doing his thing today, you don't think he'd be trying to see how far he could launch a Hayabusa, maybe over a few buses?

Granted, this fellow didn't plan things out all that good, perhaps needed to do a few more calculations... but then again, this is what stunt people do.
 
okay...so at first I was thinking that this guy was just plain brain dead.....however after reading some others post, he was indeed trying to push the sport of stunting....but he really shoulda been wearing WAY more protection.
so now I believe he was thinking with the wrong instrument.

This is not what stunt people do. This is the equivalent of dude jumping in a car and saying he can jump a 100' gap from rooftop to rooftop 'cause his IROC has wicked powa.

Wanna watch some tricks? go to a circus. Wanna do some tricks? join the circus. Wanna watch some skilled riding, watch trails (indoor or outdoor). Wanna do some skilled riding, get a trails bike and compete, if you can.
