I don't know about the "tried to drag her back into the store" part, but anytime you take a hostage, it's not likely to end well.

Excessive force. Those cops should be put in jail. You can clearly tell that this guy is in the process of turning his life around. That woman was his guidance counselor and was shielding him. She wasn't a hostage. All he wanted was a 99 cent hot dog. The gun was a toy. And so on and so forth.....

It looks like she didn't want to come out. She grabbed the door at one point.
Maybe she was afraid she was gonna get shot.

Fear makes people irrational.

Happy ending though. Fools make bad decisions and must deal with the consequences.

That lady was really resisting going out the door! :laughing

good deal all around. Of course the guy who got shot was crazy and needed police to recognize that and give him the treatment he needed.

Oh jeez. Huge difference between a dude with gun pointed at someone and a hobo sitting on the ground.

werd. i was gonna say. all the cameras are rolling on this one. ton of people involved.. gun involved, hostages, phone calls.. everyone is there. way different than than the homelss guy being beaton. give me a break.

Where did the guy get shot? It happened so fast it was hard to tell. Glad no one else was hurt but you gotta ask yourself WTF was the gunman doing?

The part that matters:
The woman, who was making a delivery at the store when she and the others were taken hostage, returned to the scene Monday night to get her van and thank officers.

"Great job...I got out alive," she told KCNC.

Why, anyone who engages in any anti social behavior is of course mentally deficient and needs care and nurturing. :twofinger

In order for the sarcasm to make sense, he needed to hit the correct parallel. The criminal in this situation is much closer to the police in the other situation, than he is to the police in this situation.

just shoot them all. IF they are being arrested for a violent felony against innocents, just plug them right there. Save every tons of $$$ housing criminals. Jails would be much less full & we wouldn't be paying for these asswipes.

Old West justice; didn't need huge jails 125 years ago...

Not enough cover. There's pretty much no way he won't get shot.

Impressive cop "uniforms" As in, quite military oriented compared to your steriotypical cop uniform. No denying the militarization of the police force in Denver. "See, we need this stuff!" Certainly plain 'ol Office Bob couldn't have handled that.:rolleyes I'm just not sure its all needed, and wonder about waking up some day in that future movie where all the cops are stormtroopers.:laughing
