Good ST tire?

I like the Pilot Roads, and have heard many others who feel the same, good grip, and long life span...

I like the Pirelli Diablo Strada tires better than Bridgestone BT-020 or BT-021. I consider them about the same as Avon Azaro and Storm except that they cost less.

I plan to buy more Pirellis when my current set is worn out.

Thanks for the info. I haven't tried the Stradas yet, but I'll give them a shot after I wear out my Z6s.

I'm on Pirelli Diablo Rossos and love them. They've held up to B-group trackdays and have worn quite well on the road. Great profile... I really prefer the handling to the Dunlop 208's I was on previously.

Pirelli's Strada replacement, the Angel ST should now be available. I'm interested to hear how people like/dislike them.

I'm on BT021's right now for good weather riding, I don't really like them in the rain. The center seems to slip to much for me. I'm getting a set of the Avon Storms for winter riding. They feel much better in the rain and not slipping.

Interesting! I hadn't even heard about them. I just did a quick search. When I read this, I LOL'd:

That's why there's fierce competition to attract riders' attention – and the Angel ST is certainly going to do that. It's a novel detail that makes it memorable: the tread pattern forms a stylised angel, but as the tyre wears, after 600 or 700 miles, it changes to a devil. This is, of course, completely irrelevant to its performance, but I love it for its cleverness and originality. It's a sports-tourer tyre with two distinct personalities.

The Pirelli Diablo Rossos are sport tires.

Michelin Pilot Road 2 or Pirelli Roadsmart or Metzler Z6 are all about equal. I think the PR2 is my personal hot ticket. Conti Road Attack gets mixed reviews but, that may be a 'weight of the bike' issue. It's unfortunate that Avon screwed the pooch with the Storm when they replaced the evergreen Azaro The Azaro is now suffering from the same 'front end weave' issue that plagued the Dunlop D205. After my last B'stone adventure, I won't put another set of Bridgestone tires on anything I own.

bringing up an old thread.

I'm on Metzeler Z6's with 8.5K miles on it... still looks good with little squaring. I imagine i would ahve anotehr 8K on it :/ i'm not wearing these things out at all... but am interested regardless in new tires as i hear either bridgestone bt021 or dunlop roadsmarts give a more flickable feel to teh bike.

planning on riding in all weathers, including rain. People's preference between Z6, roadsmarts, or bt021? or all pretty much the same?

Angel ST's are fantastic tires. Very happy with them.
5/5 starts
the bald and the fat guy give them 2 thumbs up
