Hi all, I'm not real happy with my colr/rain glove setup. I have some nice A* GP Plus something or other gloves, and I love them, but they're not really warm, and while I haven't ridden with them in the rain, I suspect that they are not very waterproof. I also have some cheaper A* winter gloves that claim (falsely) to be waterproof). So when it rains, I wear some robster craws over my gloves. I don't really like the setup too much.

So I'm looking at some better gloves. So far the ones that look interesting are:
  • Gerbings H3 gloves (I have a Gerbings jacket, so the plugin thing is nice & easy, but these don't look like they offer much protection, and I'm a bit skeptical of the waterproof claim.
  • Held Steve gloves - heard good things about them, but how waterproof are they?

I've tried the First Gear Carbon Cold Front and found them very uncomfortable. Other recommendations? TIA

Make sure that you get a pair with the squeegy on the thumb or index finger.

If you do a search on this forum there are some good theads on this subject.

A pair of glove gotten from a Harley Dealership, has proven excellent. Full leather gortex glove. High wrist with cinch straps. 700 miles of riding in the rain one day. Hands kept bone dry. Several hours in freezing temperatures, hands nice and toasty.
Their so good, only going to use it on the real long rides. Just got a clearance glove from kneedraggers. Icon Patrol for $25, classified as a Cold Weather glove. We'll see, going to start wearing it. It's good quality, extra palm leather bands, high wrist and cinch straps. Icon Patrol isn't one of the Blinged out gloves usually see from Icon.
Not expecting it to be as rain and cold resistant as the gortex gloves. Around locally it autta be oK.
An on going review of gear. FirstGear, AGV and Teknic have proven longevity of multile seasons. Joe Rocket and Alpinestar might last two seasons.

I bought a pair of Rev'it gloves last winter. I can't recall the name but they are similar to the Rev'it Fahrenheit. They worked well with heated grips and kept the water out too.

There are a set of Olympia gloves made especially to be used to heated grips.

That is, they're still fully lined with water-proofing, but are thinner on the insulation in the palms so you can actually feel the heat from electric warmers.

I forgot their name.

+1 on the cortech scarabs. i just got a set at modesto ducati for like $50 bucks. they rock
