wow. just wow. thats a lot of improvement!!!! too bad i already bought mine about a year ago ;( oh well

Is this the first time they've had an external mic jack?
That would be handy in the cage.

Noticeable difference(s) from the previous model? I am on the edge of getting one today.

Yeah, get the new one for sure.. All the shortcomings are addressed. Like the semi-hard to understand front LCD screen, and the ability to see the red LED light from all angles is a bonus!

No more looking at the mirror to see if your helmet cam is on.

Plus, 120FPS shooting and still shots of up to 10FPS. Pretty cool stuff.

I'm assuming you don't get the highest 1080P quality in 120FPS, right? Regardless, I'll be on my way to get one after work.

I just ordered one today! I'm glad I didn't do it Saturday like I planned. I would have been pissed :)

It is, I'm pretty stoked about this. No more wind noise. Just use a 3.5 jack and place a mic in your trunk. Great engine sounds, and no wind. :)

No, but I find that shooting at 1080p for say youtube upload is totally overkill, and makes the whole process a drag. I stuck with 720 and have been very happy with the quality. The still photos on my older GoPro is pretty good too..I am having a lot of fun with the fisheye look.

Did you just quote yourself?

:laughing :rofl

What's the aspect ratio? I've never been a fan of the GoPro fisheye.

"With professional low-ligh performance, the HD Hero2 also offers full 170º, medium 127º, narrow 90º FOV in 1080p and 720p video, as well as120 fps WVGA, 60 fps 720p, 48 fps 960p, 30 fps 1080p video and full 170º and medium 127º FOV photos."

Nope. 120 is only available in SD resolutions.
720p gives you 60fps
960 is good to 48fps
1080 is only available at 30fps.

Agreed with Stan23; I do most of my recording at 720 and SD resolutions.

i can imagine people's videos will have voice overs like" so i was talking to this- OH SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT" *crash*

another thing that was updated... 1080p at 170º instead of 120º...
Also, looking at gizmodo's review, the color and saturation are a lot better than the previous model...
