I am looking for a beautiful (to look at/display) turntable.
It doesn't have to work or run. I am simply looking for a static display unit to use for cleaning my records before playing them on my existing unit.
Wood finish or piano black finish preferred, but willing to consider anything that is nice to look at.
Let me know what you have, or any leads.
Thank you!

I’d get a Thorens 125. But, they are pricey.

Ya, maybe I should have added that I'm not wanting to spend Thorens money. :laughing
Cheap, pretty and non-functional.

Since it will only be a tool for cleaning vinyl, just pick something from eBay. Or do what I do, clean your r cords on the turn table you have. There’s no reason to buy a second.

The turntable I use to play my records is a vertical linear tracking turntable. It is VERY difficult to clean a record properly on this machine.
Thus, the need for a conventional turntable for cleaning.
Also, since this conventional unit will be sitting on top of one of my audio racks, and will be where people can see it, I don't want some average looking, run of the mill turntable.
If I can't find a higher end, non-functional, pretty unit, then I may be forced to use my extensive woodworking skills and create an awesome surround for a generic unit, but I was hoping to avoid the investment in time and energy, and instead spend some monies on a 'Thorens style' unit that is mechanically crapped out.
Maybe I should have spent a bit more time explaining all this in my first post, but I was hoping that some BARFer would have already piped up with a 'How about THIS one that's sitting in my garage'.
Yes, I'm a dreamer.

Maybe call around to some audio repair joints to see if they have what you need?

I'm doing all that. :thumbup
Look, I don't mean to be an asshole, :afm199 but I'm not looking for advice.
If you have a pretty turntable that doesn't work, or know someone who does, please let me know. :teeth
Otherwise, thanks anyway. :x

You can find a nice Thorens on eBay, without a tone arm, for 300 or so. Though I suspect you are looking for something less expensive.

What about one of those hand held record cleaners?

Thank you.
I have been watching market place too. Some good stuff there.
That Thorens would be perfect if it was not operational and more like $100-$150.

Thanks for looking out.
