From the SF Chronicle:

A man in his 20s suffered life-threatening injuries after he was shot while riding a motorcycle in San Francisco's Bayview District Saturday night, according to the Police Department.

Officers responded to the shooting at about 7:20 p.m. at Bayshore Boulevard and Industrial Street and found the man with life-threatening gunshot wounds, San Francisco police Sgt. Wilfred Williams said.

The man was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.

A preliminary investigation indicates the man was riding a motorcycle when a suspect pulled up in a vehicle behind him, got out of that vehicle and shot the victim, Williams said.

The suspect vehicle then fled north on Bayshore Boulevard and no arrests have been made, according to Williams.
 
I wonder if the bike was a blinged out harley.Wish him a speedy recovery.

That's horrible. Riding a motorcycle is already dangerous enough with all the inattentive drivers. But drivers who are shooting motorcyclists? That's crazy and wrong.
 
Probably not. Probably just wearing the wrong colored jacket. Or maybe did what I did -- shared the lanes. Anybody with a grudge against the world and carrying a loaded handgun just needs a reason to fire it. The rider was probably just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Late this past Friday afternoon I rode down Third St. to Bayshore Blvd. and then Guadalupe Canyon Rd. Needed to pretend I was Steve McQueen in "Bullitt." Nobody took exception to my riding. Even the SFPD wasn't paying attention (and I did get up to 55 mph in some spots on Third :laughing). Took nearly the same route going back. Funny thing was some guy on a Harley Fatboy decided to race me to the red lights. :laughing At the last red light, when he decided to powerwalk his bike between one line of cars and two articulated Muni buses, I figured he wasn't worth my time. Just after the green light came on, he zoomed towards the Third St. exit while I headed towards Bayshore. He even looked back over his shoulder to see if I was going to follow.

the article isnt really giving much detail as to what happeend what nationatlity of the motorcyclist.. theres gotta be reason for it. ghetto cats usually respect bikers
 
Wow, scary stuff. Hope more information comes soon, but it could be a progression from shooting people in their cages for no reason. Some idiot may have said to his buddy, hey, wouldn't it look cool...? :(

Now how many posts do we see here from some of our fellow BARFers would like to "shoot this driver", "kick in that driver's door", and so on and so forth?

I know most will say it is just talk here, but some people do live out their fantasies.

It's all the same. It's not just evil, crazy and wrong when a driver does it to a rider.
