"Gravity" movie reviews?

Just came back from seeing it. Hollywood movies have great computer graphics, poor actors and the story lines have become stale/predictable.

Plus for some reason theaters seem to think playing movies at stupid loud levels make the thing more exciting or suspenseful. No it does not.

Foreign movies have become so much better while being ignored for the most part by Hollywood awards, kinda like world champion baseball and football teams that never play any other country.

Wow so true :thumbup

Thought it was great 3D and cinematography...well done all around. Glad I saw it on the big screen!

Buzz Aldrin agrees.

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin had mostly good things to say about the film's portrayal of zero gravity in a review for The Hollywood Reporter.

"I was so extravagantly impressed by the portrayal of the reality of zero gravity," he said. "Going through the space station was done just the way that I've seen people do it in reality."

My opinion: What a waste of time and money. Holy crap this movie sucked balls. Thank the sweet baby Jesus it was only an hour and a half long.
Sandra Bullock and George Clooney floating in space. Oh, now there's danger, and they're floating very fast!

My thoughts after the movie: What the fuck did I just watch? Why do I continually let the pretty thing pick movies??!?

However, space is pretty, and big screens and expensive cameras and cool editing make it even prettier.

'nuff said. Now if you want to see a GOOD movie, well worth the admission go see RUSH!!!

OMG, brought back my young girl days big time.

Saw it yesterday and I liked it. If you're the type of person who cannot suspend disbelief I would not recommend it.

There's a very common attitude out there -- "It's probably a good movie if it's got an A-list cast".
IMO that's the only thing keeping this movie alive. The storyline alone isn't very interesting.

Saw it last weekend. I thought it was fucking awesome.

I have not been that tense for such a prolonged period of time during a movie before. It was also refreshing to see such a non-typical premise from Hollywood.

Not having read the whole thread carefully I am sure it has been mentioned, but go see it in 3d now. Before it leaves theaters. It is an experiential movie and THIS actually is the type of movie you should be seeing in 3d.

The way the camera moves in and out of the helmets etc was absolutely perfect. It really did things that no movie has done before.

I am rarely as impressed with going to the theater.

Fucking loved it, seeing a monkey try to grasp onto tree limbs in zero g was thrilling. Edge of my seat the whole time.

Best use of 3d ever and best SciFi movie in a decade, at least. One of the most unique experiences Ive ever had at the theater.
