Harley Hate in San Francisco

Guy probably took it with him as theft deterrent.

Or it's Tony Stark's bike, and he needs it to keep his heart beating correctly.

Pretty sure he wouldn't leave his battery cover laying on the ground and the cables clipped..

:wtf Is that a helmet under the triple tree?????

It's part of the HD Noise Maker Theft Deterrent System- it is a black balloon that pops if someone moves the handlebars. It scares them off and alerts the owner. Biggest bonus is that it requires no battery, just hot air. Obviously the thief knew this.

Simply f'ed up... so sad... to comeout and see some b.s. like that... I would be pee'd off bigtime! :mad

Hope the owner/rider makes out ok... :dunno

That is the suck...

Thieves are the suck....

Work for it... :ride it..

Steal it.. and Karma will ask for $$$ in return.

:smoking

Does that custom lettering on the tank say "Gundam Wing?"

Had my battery stolen from my '83 Kawi GPZ whilst chained to the "no parking" sign in front of my old apartment. I was sure it was my friend who has the same year/model... wrong.

Still, that sucks. I think they get some cash for turning it in. Enough for a little rock, I guess. Watch out, they'll be back for your plugs later!

Did the owner call the five o ? Hopefully the douche waffle that stole the battery was stupid enough to leave some fingerprints behind. Omg I'd be so pissed.

My gf got her volvo battery stolen in west oakland once. Kragen only gives you like $5 for 'em. That's a lot of work for $5.

I knew a guy that made over $20 just reading a book (not aloud) on the sidewalk with an empty hat in front of him. He just looked like a young crusty. Not really spare changing since he didn't bug anyone.

Anyway, there's a lot easier ways to make money.

I had 3 batteries stolen from my truck in West Oakland. After the second, I drilled holes in my hood and ran two big ass chains through them and around the frame. They then ripped up my grill to get around the chains. I then ran the chains around the bumper and the frame and that stopped it.

Of course, I also had the back window stolen from that truck in West Oakland - nothing else, just the back window.

^^^ yup, a lot of harleys have the helmet locks there, and sometimes the fork lock is a seperate lock under there. some japanese bikes from the early 70's have the fork lock there as well.
:laughing

My 2000 Buell had a fork lock there.

What really sucks is that the battery terminals were clipped off. So he needs a new battery plus new cables.
What sucks more is that the guy will probably buy Genuine Harley parts at 10 times the cost :thumbdown

I remember being that foolish when I was 17 and my fathers truck was stolen (with a part of the dash laying where the truck was) :D

Friend???
damn.. you misspelled.. it's "this guy I know"

West Oakland, the only place I have ever drawn my .45 on someone. Of course, he had stepped into my house through the roll up door and picked up a portable stereo. Fucking crackhead didn't ever seem to realize the danger that a USP posed to his general well-being so I quickly realized that he would understand a good beating with the ax handle by the door
