See, that's the problem. You have Harley friends.
They've been indoctrinated to believe that there's Harley, and then everything else is Japanese. They can't wrap their heads (or do-rags) around the fact that Germany, Italy, Austria, Sweden, and England also make motos.

To be fair (I own multiple brands and styles of bikes so I see both sides) I have had sport bike riders come up to my chopped Japanese bikes and say "Nice panhead" just as often as I've had Harley riders look at my Duc and say "When you gonna get off that rice rocket and get a real bike?" The ignorance in our community is un-freak'n-believable. Douche bags are not brands specific.
