has anyone here used a Long Chih trailer

I've had for almost 20 years & no problems. Bought it for something like $200 brand new. I've definitely gotten my moneys worth.

I had one. It worked just fine. The only thing I had issues with was the wires for the lights rubbing against the cut steel. Anyway, I only had to replace one wire, but spent some time protecting the rest with plastic flex tubing.

Oh, and the biggest problem was having to keep it at 55 regardless of what the speed limit was and always staying in the left lane.

Had one for three years and I'd never buy one again. It was cheap but the tiny little 8" tires were blue from the heat after travelling around 65-70mph on the freeway (yeah, yeah...speed limit is 55). It also wandered a bit and after a couple of years I noticed that the main axle (steel rod) had a bend in it as well from carting my bike around.

Step up to a real trailer and get some piece of mind if you ask me. I'm not risking my $6k bike for a $200 piece of junk.

For a single bike the harbor freight trailers are a good deal. Just make sure to check and or replace the bearings.
