Hey, I think we finally outran the storm!! It only took 160 mph to do it!!

Saturday was much better......I was supposed to meet NoGall at the end of the June Lake loop but as usual Miss flaky took a detour to Lake Ian instead:

I am having some difficulty nailing exactly what the beauty of Hawthorne is. Certainly is was the camaraderie of the group, but the remoteness of the location, and being on roads without another soul in sight, or perhaps only you fellow rider buds… the freedom I felt was indescribable.

I count my blessings at the shit I get to do. And in and around Hawthorne, you can do whatever you like.

After spending quite some time at this gas stop in Nevada, Larry declared false advertising: there was no bait to be found and not all of his needs were met.

Hooked up with Myblunt, SVBEEGAL and Cinninatus for lunch at the Mt.View BBQ. Good stuff. They took off before me but I caught them at Bridgeport thanks to the construction. We had great lighting show in Bridgeport then gassed up and rode. I rode with them up to the Mono Lake Vista Point.

OMG veeferreefer Chuck, you have the most amazing camera (and camera eye) ever!!!! Those pics are incredible! Thanks for posting images that I can truly say, "I saw that but it can never be recaptured on camera.....I will leave you to post the pics in the future.

Indeed a great time

Always good to meet some barfers in meet space that you really can't get the chance to meet otherwise. A diverse group of great moto peeps!

Sad to be back in ways.. but happy to make it home and out of the heat on the last couple of hours..

Overall great weather was the surprise!! Almost perfect.

Such fun times... really fun

another amusing observation of riding in the Hawthorne area:

When you saw any other motorcyclist, it was prolly a one in three chance it was a barfer. You could tell if they were barf because we wear gear. Other folks are in shorts and shit.
