Drivers in the Bey Area suck balls. Get used to it and watch out for the Prius death squad from hell, and BMW asshats sipping on their latte while texting their techie hipster friends.

Most of what you described is just normal for around here.

Welcome to California.

I concur on the possible headlight irritation factor. If you're riding with your headlight on high during the day - stop it. You're pissing people off for no appreciable safety gain.

IF you are looking for a real safety gain from your headlight - buy and install a headlight modulator. They're legal, they work and they part the waters of traffic like Moses with his majik stick at the Dead Sea. The good ones can be controlled with a simple tap of the high-beam switch to de-activate or re-activate the modulator so that if you're riding in a group or you're in a situation where you don't want the modulator flashing you can stop it. Or if you do want it to flash - as in the case where you're approaching a left turning vehicle and you want to get their attention you can trigger it with the horn button at the same time as you blast them with your FIAMM air horns.

What? No FIAMM air horns? There's nothing quite like the reaction of a texting BMW geek when he thinks he's about to get his sorry latte sipping ass run over by a 3 ton Buick as you motor past on your SZXGT250R and wave a cheerful toodle ooh!
