I don't get it?

Point is how retardedly superficial and stupid todays "cool" music is compared to proper music.
Which btw plenty people of all races still play this days. Its just not popular this days to actually be able to sing.

Not just sing, but to actally be a MUSICIAN!!!!

These ass-clowns know nothing about music. It's just noise making.

To the thread starter- it's very ignorant of you to lump all Black Music into one category.

There are many real musicians who are Black who are recording very meaningful music.

And unfortunately, the general public is more than willing to pay for said noise...thereby making them rich assclowns. :x

'Trane never made it on the pop music charts in his day, so the point is moot.

now, if you want to argue that popular music was better then, now that's a different (but compelling) one :thumbup

"One can never go broke underestimating the taste of an American." P.T. Barnum

Public acclaim does not make music, art, literature, film, etc worthwhile. Rap and metal rock are boring, same with broadcast jazz and most best selling fiction books.

Piss me off, outrage me, amuse me, make me think, laugh or shit my pants, but never bore me. (The B.A.R.F. site never bores, btw.) To be bored is slow death and I fear slow death more than a high side get off while naked.

But a fortune is being made with rap and three chord idiot rock, so be it, but not out of my pocket. Gimmee the good stuff and I have a lot of friends to thank for breaking my ennui. This site included.

Lefty,
Given the OP had no comment other than to post something that on the surface is funny do you think your ignorant comment is a tad off base? Now humor does not need to reflect the absolute truth but highlight the extreme and from that humor is found.

If you are accusing the OP of making the statement that Lil Wayne represents all of black music today I think you are missing the point of the humor. Lighten up :twofinger

Crumb did that?? Wow. I never knew that.

no more than R. Crumb implied that this represented "all of America". His point, however, is clear.
