honda cub

a fuel injected 50? wow.

The new Honda cubs sold in Japan are fuel injected. One of the best fuel efficient small displacement motorcycles in the world at this point.

Maybe Honda needs to stop worrying about what their competition is doing and start bringing some of these models back to the USA.

Are you listening American Honda?

With Gas prices going up, and scooters becoming more popular, they need to bring over more small displacement motorcycles to the US market like the Fuel injected Ape 50, the Ape 100D, the XR100 motard, Monkey, Cub and others.

And we get the Ruckus? Ugh...

Again, are you listening American Honda???

And add another $1500 to the price of a Metro as the Ape 100D would be close to $4K from a US Dealer.

Honda would have to change the turn signals, speedo and front and rear lighting and it would be good to go.

Seems like they could do some parts bin stuff to keep the cost down, couldn't they? The tail light, signals, and headlight from the Ruckus could be adapted fairly easily to the Ape, and the only real "problem" would be a speedo that is MPH and not KPH.

I guess price point might be an issue though, even if it's $3500 that's still another thousand bucks over the cost of a Ruckus or Metro.

Strange though, they figured it was a good idea to bring this thing over from Italy and charge $4500 for it.
