they're still awarding honor students which should still be "devastating" to the other dumb kids.

sounds like it's more to do with cost cutting; and he's just giving a bullshit excuse to hide that it's due to budget.

No they're not, they're enrolled at Dumbfuck Middle School. If they were honored, they'd be on the fucking honor roll.
 
Lets see we have National signing day. Jocks without grades sign letters of intent to go play games (not study) at colleges they could not get into otherwise. This is all over the evening news. The smart kids that will make a difference in your life get no notice even in the local newspaper. Our society is screwed up.

That's fucking awesome! I'd be super proud also.

My 12 year old daughter is interviewing today for a free summer science program at UC Irvine. From a pool of 100, she's now one of 14 for a total of 7 slots.

Viva la Meritocracy imo.....everything to do with kids seem to have just turned into on giant "t-ball" game-like mentality
 
I dunno, seems like a good decision. Fuck you guys for not believing in a fair, equal society. Some people are born with a lower IQ, and/or have parents who don't care much about their education. Ceremonies like these only perpetuate the notion that more fortunate students are superior in some way. Much more important than a self-congratulatory ceremony is to let the 99% know that society equally cares about them.

Now that you've brought it up, those kids who didn't make the grade ARE inferior to the ones that did. They aren't all special snowflakes, beautiful but different in their own way, some are smart, some aren't, bhoo-fuckin' whoo for those who can't grasp the fact that life isn't fair, never was, never will be as hard as you may try to "level the playing field" all ya do is dumb down the whole.........
