I listen to music when I know my ride will be over 20 minutes long (meaning my typical commute). I have one earplug, one headphone. More for legal reasons than safety reasons. I can still hear what's around me just fine, and the music helps keep me from zoning out on the freeway. Around town I'm so focused on what I'm doing that I never notice which songs are on.

This only works on my Black DRZ 400 SM with the loud pipes.Good gods man! Lights aren't that long! I check my mirrors so I don't get asspacked. I look at the nearby cars for signs of oncoming stupidity. I check the cross traffic lights to see if they're changing. I check for more signs of stupidity, or pretty girls.
I usually get rear ended to pass the time![]()

stare at the driver next to me with my tinted visor down...
see how long it takes before they inch forward...

I count how many ass wipes are using the cell phone

I usually play my own game of "how long can I balance my bike lifting my feet off the ground" (I laugh at myself sometimes).
