As long as you're *ALWAYS* turning, you could probably go another couple hundred miles on those babies. :laughing

Just ask RedKawi about riding on a tire that looks like that... See here.

Looks like maybe 1000 miles remaining on the sides of the tire and like zero miles remaining in the center.

Just ride on the sides of the tire and avoid the center for the next 1000 miles. :twofinger

Oh come on guys! I'm sure that bald spot in the middle doesn't go all the way around! I say he's got another two, maybe three whole miles left in the center! :laughing

That tire looks fine, but you're running low on blinker fluid.

when i bought my bike, my front tire was completely bald. no grooves at all in the center.

you cant see clearly but it looked almost like a racing slick lol

my friend told me it wouldnt last 2 weeks but i kept it for 3 months and did over 500 miles.

That's just stupid.
You rely heavily on your tires, so don't ride on compromised tires. It's an easy way to get yourself hurt or killed.

i know but i'm itchin hard to go, it's nice up here in vacaville right now. :boobies

You may be itching now, but you may regret the decision later if it fails.
Just wait. It's really not that hard to wait a couple of days, trust me.

No kidding, plus there are shops open on saturdays. Get to a shop, get a new one. SAFELY scrub it in, and enjoy the weather.

After you get that tire changed take the tire and have a look at how thin those things are with no tread left. You will never want to let your tire get down to chord again.

mine was in worst condition than that, much worst, and i managed to survive a trip from concord, this includes that race i had on the bay bridge....dont risk it, change it asap

12. That's the exact distance from where I worked to SCC to get a new one.

Now I'd probably say 3.5. I work closer now.

In 12 miles it went from this:

ZERO!!! BWWAAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!

Wrap some duct tape around the center of the tire. Instant retread.

Seriously tho, get that tire replaced now. There's not going to be any traction on the parts where the cord is exposed, and if you wear it out past that then it'll definitely blow out on you.

A tire that's down to the cord is about the only way to get a modern tire to actually blow out. (As in, fail catastrophically.) Believe me, you do not want to be going 80 MPH on the freeway and discover that you have instantly gone from controlled vehicle to ballistic projectile. Unlike a car where you retain a semblance of control without one tire, a motorcycle has basically zero control without both tires. You can't stop and you can't turn, but that doesn't mean you'll be going straight!

Replace it, seriously. You might make a hundred miles. You might have a blowout in the next mile. At this point, every mile is a gamble.
