How to find available numbers?

Anyone know where I can find what numbers are available/what numbers are claimed for the 2025 season?
 
Each rider has a unique number in AFM. Last year's riders have priority for keeping their same number. When new riders register, they get to pick a number from what's available.

I'd like to know what numbers are already claimed, and which are available.

How can I find out?

Have you contacted the AFM? That’s where I’d start.
 
For a new racer the number is assigned, you don't get to pick. It's usually a number in the upper portion of the available range, 700-999, but not always.

From the rule book:

"Numbers 1 to 5 are issued on the basis of rider performance in the Formula Pacific class from the prior season. Numbers 6 to 10 will be issued on the basis of points accrued in all other classes (Top Overall Points standings.) Numbers 11-999 are issued at the discretion of the Licensing Committee with consideration given to previous AFM Competition Number."

Took me two years to get to select a two digit number. The one I wanted was not available, but the next year it was so I was able to change again. They should have retired that number :p :laughing

It is cool how numbers became names in ways. 11 & 13 come to mind, but there are more.
Got to race a while to get there.

I got to pick my number in 2021 (#776)
 
I guess the application allows for one to list (3) number choices and then one is assigned by the registrar. You can reach out to registration if you have a specific number in mind and Allison will see what she can do; registrar@afmracing.org
