I just got back into the Supermoto realm of bikes and acquired my 2nd Husky SMR. Its been years since Ive had one. I was wondering with other models have compatible parts with an 08 SMR 510.

TIA

What do you need? I have a complete rolling chassis for an '06 450. I'd be happy to peel off any parts you may want.

Wasn't 08 first year for FI? Look for fuel. pump up grades..problems..

Yes it was. Not worried about problems with the bike.

As the post stated. Im looking for the other models and years that parts are compatible.. Plastics, seat, hard parts, etc.

If you ask a more specific question, you will get more specific answers. Asking what is compatible is really broad, especially with Huskys of that era where they share much of everything.

Most of the parts from Italian 2003-2010 250/310/450/510 TE/TXC/TC/SM are swappable, including many engine parts. The two stroke CR's and WR's also used many parts interchangeable with the four strokes for the body and chassis.

The SM did have some specific dif's in shock/fork length if I remember correctly, but not drastic. I regularly swapped out my 06 TE450 for supermoto set up.

It wasn't until about 2010, and prior to the KTM purchase did the 250/310 get a motor that wasn't based on the 450/510. 2011, the 450/510 became the 449/511 under BMW ownership and an entirely new design.

Hall's and few other places used to have Italian Husky parts fiche online where you could cross reference stuff. Don't know if Cafe Husky is still active, but Thumpertalk does have a lot of Italian era Husky folks still active.

This is just based on my recollection, it has been some time since I owned and paid much attention to Italian Husky stuff. So double check my info. :thumbup

AOMC has the best prices availability and speedy delivery. I switched to them after getting hosed by Hall’s some years ago.
Cafe Husky is a ghost town now, but there is good info to be had still until it eventually dies.

Thanks, your answers is exactly what I was looking for. I truly appreciate your input.

That is exactly why it was a broad question. Im not looking for a specific part, just what is interchangeable so I can find suitable parts when needed.

Cafe Husky is a ghost town, and it will surely die. Probably sooner rather than later, since there are software problems that we don't have access to fix. I've been paying for the server for years, but that's pretty much all I can do. Coffee took the keys to the castle with him when he died. Makes me sad, and when I think of all the solid info and advice that will be lost forever when it finally blinks out for good it makes me really f'ing angry :mad

I did not know Coffee has passed. :rose Good on you for keeping it up as long as possible. :thumbup

What’s cheap to you. Ironically, I have a 70 TR6C & a 69 Bonneville 650. Thanks for the link

Those are some sweet bikes. :thumbup I've been looking for a project bike suitable to build/rebuild for the moto melee. Unfortunately, my budget is pretty tight. Sent you a private message.

Thank you, CJ. It was important to me on numerous levels. Dean died in June 2020. He'd been spiraling downward for quite some time, and it was a pretty devastating end for someone who had once been a pretty bright and engaging, if completely socially awkward, person. We did the best we could :(
