Now, hopefully I will get off my fat behind and be more productive.

I bought a couple of those digital antennas from Amazon. They do a great job.

So, I may actually read a book or something,,,,, oh wait, I have Netflix and Hulu (throws book in fireplace)

It sounds like a worthwhile endeavor but there is no way I can pull the plug. I could subscribe to all the on-line racing but that would be more than my satellite bill so I can't do that.

Seven years and counting. Don't miss it a bit, all it was for me was $100+ a month for my ex-wife to schedule her day around her shows. :thumbdown

Pulled the plug in 2008. I did recently subscribe to Sling so I can watch ESPN, but that is about all I use it for.

One year for me.

I got a Tivo Roamio after I cut the cable. it really enhances the non-cable experience, imo. kinda expensive though.

Want to do it, but kinda addicted to sports. Need to figure out NHl and NFL via Hulu/Roku, etc. mybe A's and Giants during post season.. Also HBO shows, walking dead, and I think that's it.

HD antenna doesn't pick up much in MH. Maybe the super long range one would cut it?

vipbox.tv for live sports
KODI w/ Genesis installed for every movie/show you can think of

I've been without cable TV for several months now. I do have Netflix, a Chromecast, and a Xfinity login that lets me watch all the On Demand shows. I can stream ESPN, TNT, can still watch Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Vikings. The other shows like Pawn Stars, Storage Wars, were killing my brain cells.

I'm proud to be in such great company.

I didn't spend a LOT of time sitting in front of the TV, but I have gained lots of weight in the past few years. I'm 52 now and I havre a belly. I have a ton of dusty exercise equipment.

Sunday, I was bending over and reading (a prescription bottle-lol), and I felt something 'shift' in my lower back. I screamed in pain. It took me about 2 minutes to walk to my kitchen and pour a drink.

I don't want to be the stereotypical 'old guy'. Yesterday I dusted off my $3,000 mtn bike and rode the Dumbarton Bridge. That's a small start.

Kodi has add-ons with live sports as well. Pretty much all you need and a whole lot you won't. It's all there.

I haven't had a cable bill since 2007. Split up with my ex and with wasn't high on my list of things to replace. Went like 6 months without cable and was like. Meh. It really isn't needed. And here we are today

I didn't know Sling TV was up.

So basically $35/month to include a bunch of channels I might actually watch, HBO w/ on demand HBO?

Add Netflix and it's $43/Month? Add MLB TV .. $63/Month..

OH WAIT I'm paying cable prices again. :thumbdown

Yup, since I've moved to Mountain View I have my $8/month Netflix subscription and an antenna. Haven't missed Cable at all.
