I have been wearing a Tourmaster Sabre II for well over 10 years and I would buy that one again if they still made it. It's likely closer to your less expensive one. Both of those look very nice and are long touring style.

My tourmaster did favorable work for a decade.

Honda Whisperjet, FTW.
How else am I gonna charge my heated deep woods camping vest??

Whatever you have, top it with Frogg Toggs. Water resistant and breaks the wind too. There is even a motorcycle pant version (see link) with some patches at bottom of leg to keep the fabric from melting on your pipes. I've been in torrential downpours at interstate speeds and was able to endure more hours thanks to the aforementioned heated vest, heated gloves and the Frogg Toggs cheating the elements.

A good windbreaker is money. A good neck gaiter helps a lot.

Heated things are glorious. I recently rode in some cold weather and am kicking myself for not bringing my heated gear.

Tourmaster has held up well.
I got a 3/4 length rather than a tiny Gundam Knights super sport shoulder wrap.
Not quite Australian canvas duster length, but you don't trip over it all the time and it's way warm.

People keep asking motorcyclists "Aren't you cold?"
I can only say - duuude! We go snow boarding around here! WTF?

I too had a jacket shrinking issue, my third riding jacket, was shrinking just like #1 and #2.
after 5 years of BP meds, my weight is down, and I can't get the zipper started.
I used to suck in the gut to find and and pair the zipps end.
Now no need to suck in, but the zipps ends are not in position to engage.
Need new muscle memory/retraining,
but I have more room for layers, now.

Reminds me I have a custom leather jacket from Z for 9/11. I have lost 25 lbs ... time to try it on.
