I need transportation from Fremont to Buttonwillow for the Keigwins At The Track event on March 6th.

If you happen to be heading that way, please let me know. I intend to stay through Sunday for the Ken Hill racing school, and may be able to arrange separate transportation home.

I will of course help cover the cost of fuel.

If you're heading that way and need transportation yourself, please post. If I cant find a ride before the event, I may end up renting a truck and would be more than happy to split part of the cost.

FYI: I'm transporting a GS500. It's a fairly light, narrow and short bike. I have my own tie-downs, gas can, etc and would be happy to share a few of my tools and supplies.

you can always send lance an e-mail and see if he can get a hold of a couple instructors that live in that area to see if they have any room.

I'm in SF. If I can get the RSV running properly (been in the shop for weeks now...ugh) I'm going to try and make this weekend happen. Are you planning on driving up Friday night and staying in a hotel/motel for fri/sat nights?

My plans aren't set, but that would work out well for me. I prefer not to wear myself out driving before I hit the track.

I have to stop by Scuderia tonight to drop off another bike anyway - I'll ty to find out if the RSV will be in riding shape by then and let you know.

Mysterious electrical problems still undiagnosed. Hopefully I'll know something today or tomorrow.

It's likely the stator, which I just replaced two weeks ago. I'm 90% in. Will let you know after this weekend for sure. Maybe I'll just take the 250 if the Mille isn't healthy by that time.

My plan is to leave from SF Fri night after work and share a (2 bed) hotel room down there Fri/Sat night. Work for you?

That sounds like a good plan. Are you able to pick me up in Fremont? If so, let me know what time I should be ready to leave.

I could pick you up - it's not that far out of the way. I'll figure out a time when it gets closer, depending on when I can get out of work that Friday. I'll keep you updated.

I just signed up for Sunday using a ticket pack. I'm looking for a deal on Saturday tickets.

Great! I'll let Lance know that I have a ride.

By the way... I have a set of tie-downs, but I don't have a wheel chock. Should I pick one up, or will it not be needed?

I'll PM you my contact information to discuss.

How's riding buttonwillow compare to thill and sears?

I'll tell you on Monday March 8th; This my first time at buttonwillow.

My understanding however is that the most obvious difference is the pavement quality. Buttonwillow is very rough.

as was said, it doesn't have the big elevation changes and the pavement often leaves something to be desired, but it is a very fun track (my favorite of the three) and holds many secrets. It's really, really good to learn on.

Cool I decided to sign up for both days, so I will find out first hand!!! Can't pass up a chance to learn from the guru Ken Hill!!!!:ride:teeth
