I think I spotted a chop shop/house...

Hooli come on now that's not being p0wnt

And quit laughing with them you'll only egg them on....I need to forget that I had an opinion, posted it, bought into the madness, dared to admit that I could be wrong and get back to work.

Thank you.

Peace out.:teeth

Easy n00b. :p

dont call.. wait until I ship them out first.. the kids in thailand need SS bikes instead of the 125cc..

Anyhow.. call it in man.. u got nothing to lose but 5 minutes of your time.. Im sure there are good cops that would like a felony pinch.. especially 5-7 people

:thumbup Good job to the OP for bringing this matter to the police's attention. Anyone who feels strongly against this obviously has never had his motorcycle stolen or know anyone that has their bike stolen. With all the bike thefts going on in the bay area, you can never be too sure.

I got pulled over a few months ago on a routine stop. Cops told me there have been a lot of recent thefts and wanted to make sure the bike belonged to me. I was more than happy and thanked them for checking. We shot the shit for 10 minutes while they ran the numbers and had a few good laughs. No harm done.

Obviously Kwaka-R is not going to win this battle, so you might as well move to another thread. Maybe in a "perfect society" it would seem unfit to report suspicious activity, but we live in a world where we're not that fortunate. Bike thefts are extremely common in the bay area and anyone in the right mind should report something as suspicious as this without even thinking twice.

Lemme add something to this. If you're walking by a house and you hear a woman screaming, then a couple of gun shots followed by a moment of silence, would you then call the police, or since you really "have balls", would you knock on the door and ask them what's going on? I mean we wouldn't want to offend the residents of the house by accusing them of doing something wrong because you have an "over active imagination". For all we know they could just be watching the TV really loud right?

What a joke! Are you all kidding? What the-F Nazi society do you all live in?

If I have six or seven of my friends over after a Sunday morning ride are you gonna call me in for stealing bikes?

Did the OP see any of the bikes being stripped down?

How do you know the container is related to the house and not to construction equipment storage?

Why are you assuming everyone in the "ghetto" is a criminal and since when is it suspicious to have more than one bike?

If you really want to be involved get some balls..... go knock on the door and ask them what’s going on! One drive by and a over active imagination doesn’t really warrant pulling cops off other stuff IMO.

Of course I'll be the first to come give you a hand shake if you just single handedly cracked the East Bays biggest crime ring, but I am saying poor form until you had more "intel".

Old on a sec there ummm d00d. Who you callin abysmal?:wow

In point of FACT *I* am calling YOU abysmally ignorant and bereft of societal responsibility.

Plain enough or do I need to proceed further? If so don't expect me to be diplomatic , I have little tact left and even less diplomacy for those who would abdicate their personal responsibility to their fellow man.

I'm curious as to how this actually turns out.

(insert thrilling suspense music here)

tune in tomorrow, same Bat time, same Bat channel!

For the record. I would go knock on the house if I was that concerned.
Bing.

My manly radar went off. I be around a long time and I have done some REALLY serious shIt. But, one thing that I know, for sure, is that most people are chicken and don't do a damn thing about anything.
For Fuck's Sake, People!TM

It's not like he's reporting that he saw them stealing bikes, just suspicious activity.
But hey, what do I know? Flame on.
It's ONE guy. The rest of us are beating the poop out of him. And we are thankful because it is Friday and the economy in California stinks.
Thanks, Kwaka-R :laughing

most depts find big things from tips from concerned citizens.... props to op who gave concern, even if it might be nothing.. safe than sorry man

:Popcorn...

i wanna see what the outcome of this is...

So I take the side roads home from my work every once in a while when the traffic is bad, and I've driven by this place before. I'm always observant to my surroundings and have a good memory of where things are and what not. Well when I drove by today I saw like 6+ different kinds of sport bikes and a cruiser or two parked in the side area of this house. There was also a cargo shipping container just in the street in front of this house. This area is not exactly the most wealthy area, in fact I would say it's pretty damn ghetto. It's sort of a house within a business area really, low income for sure.

Like I said I have driven by this place multiple times before within the past couple of months, and I've never seen any motorcycles there before. I'm sure if there were 5-6-7+ guys who lived there on motorcycles I would have seen them before, right? Also the house is pretty small, theres no way it has more than 2 bedrooms, 3 at the max.

I also thought it was weird why there would be a cargo container in front of this place. I don't want to accuse people of stealing, but should I tip the cops that this could possibly be a spot where stolen bikes are ending up and getting chopped up? Let's say that they aren't guilty at all and I'm just an idiot, no harm no foul right? Will the cops even do anything in the first place though? I have reported thieves to the cops with solid evidence before and absolutely nothing has come of it.

I drove on by thinking if I should do anything and I couldn't come to any conclusions. I hate thieves as I've had my bike and other things stolen from me, but I don't want to make false accusations and waste anyones time.

This place is in Hayward by Winton Ave & Clawiter Rd area, where Cal Trans is doing some road construction .. perhaps someone is familiar with this place... it seemed fishy to me, what do you guys think? I can post the google maps location if it's allowed..

Edit: Nevermind, I know where you're talking about but I don't know who they are

I don't think i noticed any other houses in that area, aside from the few that are right next to a gas station... is this the place you're talking about? If so you can report it but their isn't anything illegal going on... thats my friends grandparents house.

I think this guy who owns the house with the bikes is actually legit. I had my 600rr tuned up there last year. He has his own business out of his garage. Forgot the guys name and lost his card. But i think NEW2YSR50 knows the guy.

Just my 2 cents.

If i saw something suspicious though, i would probably call it in.

Well this makes me feel better. I'm sorry if the owner has a legit business and I inconvenienced him in any way. It just seemed odd to have a buncha bikes lined up around a house with a cargo container in the middle of the street. I did not know it was a business either as there are no signs or anything visible from where I drove by, just looked like a home.

Even with my military special security forces training, I would not go knocking on that door by myself. Today's laws protect the criminal more then the avg. joe, so if he pulls a gun or attacks me and I retaliate in self defense then I will be prosecuted for trespassing and assault.
No all the people posting before you were right and you sir, well you are just wrong. If the cops show up at my door and I am doing nothing wrong, well hand shake goes to the officer and the concerned citizen for there keeping my neighborhood safe.
