Icon Variant or Arai XD?

Variant is awesome, I love mine. That AFX one is a flimsy piece of shit

I have owned both as well, but I prefer the Quantum2, which I use now. I liked my XD, but it didn't fit my head as well and the liner felt like a step down from the Quantum. The XD liner wasn't as soft or comfortable to me. Still a great helmet.

I tried on a couple of the knock offs of the XD but they all felt like my crappy Fox dirt bike helmet.

You should check out the Hornet. The bill is more subdued and doesn't thrum or sail, and it's not windy or noisy (more so than any other helmet, that is - I wear earplugs). Price - I'll pay a little more for a helmet made in a first-world country.

I found the shoei hornet to feel pretty flimsy as well but nowhere near as bad as that AFX. Give the variant a try, it's really a nice helmet.
