I don't know about you, but I don't go around getting in fights with drunk asshats. It's not my hobby. If I'm out where I might encounter any drunk asshats, I've already got my ID on me because I'm driving.
But if I want to wander down to the park near my house, I have to carry fucking ID? Bullshit. I reserve the right to be out in public without worrying about being stopped and asked to produce papers.

As a former fatso, I can authoritatively say that there is no way to exercise fat away. The conversion between thermal and kinetic energy is just far too large. You have to control eating to lose weight.

I didnt say you go around getting into fights with drunks. There are very specific laws about what you can, and need to have upon you, when you're out in public. Say someone sucker punches you and your in a coma. How do we notify your family? Accidents do happen, things happen that can not be foreseen. Especially in todays day. I bet no one expected to see planes flown into the twin towers. Do you really want to be the one John Doe sent to the hospital with no way to contact your family?
You are required, by law, to have ID on you.
Its a different thing if for no reason the police came up to you, without PC, just to ID you. We are no where near the "papers please" mentality.
Honestly, you dont like the laws of the land, leave. Go to another country, see how well you fair there. The laws are there for your protection and there are plenty of checks and balances to make sure the government doesnt get out of line.

My family would find out eventually. My biggest worry is if they would boot me out due to insurance concerns.

Our constitution is the greatest code of laws this world has ever seen. It is an unfortunate fact that people who insist upon protecting me without my consent have made laws that contradict our Cnstn. and pretend that they don't. These same people are the kind who seem to think that man has somehow evolved so that we are in some way different from the race that practiced the sacrifice of young women by throwing them into sinkholes, (Waste of a young woman, if you ask me.), that wrote the Cnstn.: the law that allows us to feel safe in our persons and have the option of going around without needing to constantly carry some bureaucrat's idea of proof of our identity, and because of that, they don't bother to know history. If they knew history, they would know how wrong they are. They would know that some of the most brilliant works on the nature of the human condition were written more than 2000 years ago. They would know that violating people's privacy in the name of protecting them has never been an effective means of doing so. They would know that such measures have always ended abuse or worse.
