all the 3D printable parts sadly only come up to about a third, at the best case, of everything needed to print.

I've followed the REPRAP goals for years now.

One thing that is really cool and IIRC is on kickstarter is a way to reduce the cost and dependency on vendors of printing material. A device that takes plastic refuse of the correct type, including failed prints, and recycles them into usable filment.

So you can print up some stuff and when the kids/adults/whomever is bored with it, grind it up and extrude it back to make something else.

Stinks to high heaven though. But it's a start.

I mentioned the glass printing to a couple of guys into the homebrew printing scene who think it might be doable with some R&D. we'll see.

yes, it printed with sugar - tasted like crap though - like the old fashioned sugar dots/pox
