Infiniti FX35/45 ?

Shit I have seen a mx-5 pulling a bike and if that can do it, the FX surely do a fine job.

Just so no one else is confused. This is what the OP wants to do.

I say get yourself a 4-door truck and call it the day!

I owned an fx35, and before I totaled it, I was going to replace it with something to haul bikes without using a trailer. I loved the ride of the fx, but it was not convenient to my needs. We now have a G35 and a RAM1500 quad cab.

Yes, that's what I'm referring to. As far as the 4 dour truck thing, it's not the passenger capacity I'm concerned with. It's the fact that most of my driving around is sans moto, and my truck bed is just empty most of the time. Just for reference, here's my current ride:

If I could afford 2 vehicles, I would absolutely keep my truck and buy a Mini, Audi, BMW, or G35. But Right now I need to make the compromise. And I am seeing a lot of FX45s fully loaded going for <$30k. With the amount I owe on my truck, I'd actually be lowering my monthly payment.

IMO go with a RAV4 and a trailer over trying to get an SUV beefy enough for a hitch carrier. You'll save a lot of money, even if you buy a premium folding trailer, and the RAV4 isn't a monster vehicle during the 98% of the time you're not towing anything. I get 27/20 mpg with a 3.5L V6 and AWD.

I sold my 6 month old Civic to get a RAV4 after my first track day :laughing

Yeah, I hear the rav4 comes with a built in man-card shredder too :thumbup

267 horsepower V6, AWD, 5 full seats, 4'x7' cargo area, 3500 lb tow capacity, 18 inch low profile wheels that chirp happily down ramps...I must be missing the sissy part :twofinger

Do you guys think a Jeep Compass could hold a bike on the back with a hitch like the one above that is attached to the Tahoe?

Well, it used to look like this:

Man-card-worthy comments are pretty self-explanatory. New one does have nice specs, but IMO it still looks a little wonky compared to some of its peers.

Feh. I love it. It's a pile of fun to drive and gets the serious business done easily. Every passenger has liked it, too :p

step4 away from the Rav! my mom drives one. the FX? what a pointless car. for car is what it is. my wagon had far more room for ezup and leathers than the FX. its almost the modern day elcamino. not a car, not a truck the worst of both worlds. here is what you need. gets 23-25 mpg on B20 and you dont need a hitch.

Not sure what that does that my truck doesn't do.
