So I bought this Klymit sleeping pad couple months ago because I'm trying to minimize the crap that I take on the road with me. Its NOT a self inflating sleeping pad but it's great. Its about the size of of a log cake when you roll it up. People say it takes like 10 breathes to get it inflated. I call BS it take me like 20 or something and I'm light headed by the time I'm done. I miss my inflator for my air bed so I started searching around for something that can inflate my sleeping pad, then I found this INSTAFLATOR.

Its basically a bag that had an adapter to attach to your sleeping pad or whatever your inflating. This movie shows how it works. It was like $4 so I got like 2. When I get it will let you guys know how it works out.

The only gripe I have about it without even getting it yet is that it doesn't deflate it also, but for the price, doesn't need batteries, and hardly takes up any space looks like a great deal.

Hmm same concept, I guess this is the DIY version. The instaflator still looks like a good deal.

I love it. Keep us posted!

I have a small electric pump purchased at Walmart, takes up the same amount of space and always works, that thing looks like it could puncture/rupture pretty easy. If you have a self-inflating pad, it really doesn't need more than a couple of breaths to firm it up anyway.
Since I'm a wuss and like a soft mattress, I've got a full inflatable twin that takes up just a little more room than a self-inflating pad. Sleeping well while camping is important to me.. Figure that an extra few lbs. that the bike is carrying really isn't going to make all that difference.

Haha that's awesome if I can get some kinda adapter for my muffler that'd do the trick.

I don't have a self inflating mattress, its one of those blowup contraptions. It does hardly take up any space though. Now if it does get punctured I can bring some tape along and if it becomes inop then I can still use my lung power o_O'

Great till it ruptures or leaks while you are sleeping and you don't wake up cause of carbon monoxide poisoning lol
