Ok, I've just ordered a new manual CCT from APE Racing (cool anodized red, BLING!). My question is how do you install it? How long does it take? I hear it only takes 20-30 min. Do I need any gaskets or anything? Or just the CCT? I'm sure Shawn will post here in a sec, but yeah, just tell me what to do!

you'll need the CCT and a new gasket. remove the 2 bolts that hook the clutch cable bracket to the clutch cover, its easier with this outta the way. remove the old CCT, replace gasket and install the neww CCT. begin to tighten the CCT by hand. it should move very easily. you'll feel it engage the cam chain runner. turn it a few more times. then start the bike, you'll hear the rattle of the cam chain. quickly tighten the CCT by hand. you'll hear the noise begin to get softer and softer until it totally dissappears. keep turning it and you'll see the idle begin to drop because the chain is to tight and is dragging the motor down. back it up until the idle returns to normal and the noise is still gone. lock it down. you'll want to readjust it every 4~5k. good luck :teeth

Da best Honda motor modd you will ever make :thumbup The stock cct is the worst in history, almost as good as the older vf chocolate camshafts..:)

How did it go for ya Matt!

I just installed it tonight. It was sooo simple, took less than 5 min...that is if you have a streetfighter!

Thanks for the tips Shawn!

yeah without the plastic its so easy. just remember to adjust it every 3~5k :thumbup

yeah the sound will come back when it goes out of adjustment, but it'd be best to adjust it before the noise came back. just get in the habit of adjusting it @ a set interval, say 3k or 4k
