I am getting quotes for about 2,500 a year for full coverage.

It use to be about 700 a year. No points on driving record.

This is for an 06 r1.

Whos paying what and where?

Age 37: Concours 14, full coverage including comprehensive, collision, 100/300K liability and Uninsured Motorist coverage, and designated as my commute vehicle.

Roughly $400/yr.

Try state farm.

Collision is what makes the whole thing very expensive. I'm 23 and my insurance is $500 a year for everything but collision.

my basic liability is 82 bucks a year.. after hitting a deer last year. I dont want another 5k out of my pocket.

Let's see - I'm approaching 60, live in the west edge of Evergreen in San Jose, have full coverage on my C50T through Geico, with the highest limits they offer, no tickets or accidents on my record, and I'm paying about $300 a year.

OK I think I know the problem. Call up the insurance company and confirm this is a comprehensive not at fault claim. Someone may have key punched something in wrong.
Did you have the R1 when THE DEER HIT YOU? I yell this because you were struck by a deer not the other way around.

Happy Hornet may be on to something..... Why did your insurance randomly jump.

I pay 204 a year with USAA(1k deductible, full coverage, 2007 GSXR 750)

"3 points" on record

$25.00 monthly

u are definetly overpaying..shop around

Geesus, for 2 bikes and 2 licensed riders I don't even pay over $1.5k a year. For full coverage and a low deduct.

However as it sits now with a $1k deduct, 2 bikes, 2 riders, and 100/300K full coverage + Un/under insured.. I'm at $850 a year.

full coverage 2 bikes $100 deductible $383/yr. that's after a $4500 payout after A (fucking) DEER HIT ME!

I once had a deer do everything it could to get me to run into it, but, not being the greatest rider and never having done a track day, I somehow managed to miss it. I was a bit shaken and kinda pissed off too. Then I
remembered that I have seen thousands of 'Deer Crossing' signs in my driving career and I'd bet there isn't a single deer out there that has seen a
'Human Crossing' sign.
Don't blame the deer. Learn to share the space. Your playground, their home.
DAMN! I FORGOT TO YELL! :ride

Well I called allstate its 1800 a year with a 1k deductable..

The lady played around with the time I had my M1 when she changed it to me being endorsed with an m1 since 16yrs old my rate was 700 for a year..

I been m-1 endorsed for about 6 years now. Over 25 and no points.

Just dont seem right. I paid that much for insurance when I first got my M-1.

A friend of mines is also paying that much from geico.. and has a 09 r1, he is endorsed for a while also and well over 30 years old..

Maybe its the model bike? High theft or crash?

You are kidding I hope. The point I make is that the language of liability is precise. So if a deer runs out in front of us and a collision occurs quite often we say "I hit a deer;" however, if it were the same scenario, but the deer instead were a car, we would say "that bastid" hit me.

I'm 70, bike is ZX-10 (paid cash for it, no insurance to protect a lender), minimum required libility (I've managed to take care of myself so far, so I expect to keep doing it).

Been with McGraw for so many years they are confident that the money goes one way, from my wallet to theirs.

$80.00 a Year handles it.

PS I've hit a few deer, killing one of them, that one put my bike flat on the road, no big deal, it was my business, not the the insurance's business.
