Interesting Physics Experiment

With the propeller geared to the wheels, the results are far from being unexpected. They didn’t prove anything.

They proved people are willing to click stupid video links, which is what the entire experiment of YouTube has boiled down to.
 
Sail boats are faster than the wind due to tacking (going at an angle from the wind direction) which crates a "wing" affect that creates "lift" (pulling the boat). In this case, the vehicle is going parallel (in the same direction) to the wind.

Yes the propeller is geared to the wheels, but it is not under any extra power. The wind blows the car, the wheels turn which spins propeller. So, this truly going faster than the wind (in the exact direction the wind is blowing) without any extra power.

I just found their solution to a physics question interesting.

Kind of like the question....if a plane is on a conveyor belt and that belt is moving in the opposite direction of the plane taking off (at the take off speed of the plane), will the plane take off? (yes I know the answer)

My time with short sailboards, has gotten me to that point of wind speed.
Just like a hot air balloon, they travel @ wind speed, you don't notice, it is calm.
When I get close, it gets quieter

I agree. Some just cannot wrap there brain around the fact that the plane's acceleration (forward movement) is from the propeller and not the wheels and lift from the air traveling over the wings. The ground moving has nothing to do with it.

Right! Adam SAavage said that during filming, that even the pilot said the aircraft wouldn't fly / take off!?!?!?!?!?!
