what are your guys' opinions on these forks as far as
-weight
-stiffness
-funtionality
-travel
-best for what situatuations?

thanks for the help!

inverted alot better
wieght : little heaver (theres alot more stength in the design )
stiffness : thats a spring thing so no difference
funtionality : do to the extra strength they flex less and give a more possitive feel & sense there inverted there is also less upsprong wieght making them react faster
travel : about the same
best for what : personally just stick with inverts there good for all situatuations:thumbup

ya i just got a ktm 360 and it came with regular forks, and some spare inverted forks.. how much heavier are they, this bike is already way to heavy!

not enuff to offset the benefits . they may even be lighter depending on the design of the forks . if you have both try both se wich one you like better . there easy to change out as long as you have the right triple clamps for each set . what really matters is the fork tube daimeter ,the avalabilty of adjustments ( compression , rebound and spring preload ) and travel . most modern forks have these stander and inverted . get an owners manual or repair book for your bike and start playing with the adjustments to se what works best for you .

Are those standard forks 45 mm Marzocchi or 50 mm WP Extreme? The 'zokes are plush but soft, great for technical trails, rock gardens, etc., poorer for whoops and jumps. The WPs are said to be great all-around forks.

Standard or inverted really doesn't matter. What matters is how they are sprung and damped for your riding. If they soak up all the bumps and make you feel like a hero they are good. If they deflect off rocks and roots, bottom off jumps, and make you feel like a spode, they are bad.

Inverted forks are much stiffer but not really plusher , the late conventional forks where very good before everyone switched to inverted . Only a top level pro will feel the stiffness provided by inverted forks and those guys forks are in the $50,000 price range . We are talking dirt bikes here .

ya it has the zokes, well the top caps on the inverted forks are stripped, looks like some meathead tried to take the off with a multi tool, i think ill try out the inverted ones once i get them fixed..

The inverted ones flex less than the standards and also hold a line better in corners and big jumps (like doubles). Again it all depends on what you plan on using the bike for race or trail or combo? The thing about USD forks is they are heavier than standard by how much who knows. If you have the Marzocchis how old are they and what model? If the caps are stripped out let me know and I can get a hold of my contact at Marzocchi and see if they still make the top caps for them.
