Is holding hands in public important part of a relationship..?

Llamas don't have hands... that was something else you were holding ;)

If you want to be in a relationship you have to work on your gag reflex.

you have to breathe through your nose until the gag reflex is passed.

valgar told me that

Is holding hands such a big deal and important in a relationship..?

Sure, touching your partner in public is fun. In ways such as holding hands, arm around shoulder, hugging, kissing...it's affectionate, and quite the aphrodisiac. :teeth

Things like that are important to females remember they think differently from men. They are emotional creatures so holding hands has a deep meaning to them better get on board or get used to being alone. men are more logical so it seems pointless and juvenile but its an important part of a relatioship to ladies. And if you want to be involved in a symbiotic relatioship you need to cultivate the proper behavior to nurture and cultivate the development of that relationship. Wow I think I just had Doctor Phil moment I better stop watching that stuff before i turn into a pansy.

Something as simple as holding hands can be a powerful private connection between two people. There are so many ways to communicate, just by how you are holding hands. It also shows them that you are there in the moment with them. You're not just walking down the sidewalk, you're walking with her. It can add meaning and intimacy to even the most mundane of tasks. It also communicates to others, and especially to her, that she is yours and you're proud to be the one holding her hand.

It's also so minor, if it's a big deal to her, chalk it up as an easy way to make her happy. If it really creeps you out and bothers you, you two might just be on the wrong page.

Shit, holding a woman's hand is a high honor. Knights and gentlemen court a woman for her hand in marriage. The Beatles scored a huge hit singing about it. For some people [cough]Dubbs[/cough], it's the same as reaching third base.

I have a pretty blonde GF with short hair. If I don't hold hands with her, along with other simple public displays of affection, all the dykes & lesbians in SF would be all over her. As it is, they devour her with their eyes, giving her the up & down as we stroll down Valencia.

So what happens when your girl walks alone? Bet she has stories...

I have been married 23 years, we still hold hands :love It is just something to acknowledge I am with her/him and I like it. You need to get over your dislike of it.

All this.
Yes, it matters.
It let's us know you WANT to be there with us.
It's also a way to maintain physical intimacy in public.
How can any of that be bad??

yes

Shit, I'm pretty introverted and conservative, and yet on the first day I ever kissed someone, I was kissing her all over the place, including downtown SF sidewalks.

I'm guessing maybe you think PDA is not "manly" or something, but IMO it actually makes you MORE of a man, because it proves to everyone that you are with someone who finds you attractive.

Weird town we live in...

Women like that make me do double takes... but then again I'm just a weirdo. :loco

The bottom line is: If you don't hold her hand, someone else will.

+1

It's a total buyer's market.
