Modesto and Stockton? This are in North Western New Mexico, right? Near Wichita Somewhere? DOn't you worry about the Tornadoes?
Lol I lived in the Bay Area for 10 years and still work there. I guess I just prefer space and openness and not dealing with crushing congestion everywhere I go. It’s not like San Jose doesn’t get balls hot in the summer and there are plenty of bums and tweekers walking around wherever you go.
This sick ass pad is in my dads neighborhood. I wish I could snap it up but I think it’s a tad overpriced. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/4207-Yacht-Harbor-Dr-Stockton-CA-95204/15307302_zpid/ But compare it to a roach-infested studio in SF or Oakland..

Anything that isn't San Francisco, Marin, San Mateo, or Alameda County isn't Bay Area, it is BFE.

You need to get out more, princess.![]()

This is why I'm going to keep renting here in WA, at least for the next year or so, or until there is a shift in the market. Quite happy to watch the trend though.

"BFE" is a product of geography and infrastructure. BART extends all the way out to Antioch now. Marin on average has the worst commute in the bay area:

Impossible to get to Oakland via I80 nightmare, only possible to get to SF if you drive (and pay $$$ to park your car) or live right next to a ferry terminal. Marin just sounds like a nightmare for any high income worker who needs to get to the regional core.
They are the City Closest to SF, but with a way longer commute, because they are all jammed up tryign to get to the freeway for 30 minutes before a 10 minute drive to downtown SF.
