Based on what facts?

AIM testing pretty much takes care of that, you know... I work in reproductive health care, and "amateurs" have a much higher rate of infections.

52 partners is not all that un-common. You can still bang out a bit, and be selective in who you fuck. It's not how many people you've been with, it's about how many THEY'VE been with. With that said, a pornstar w/ any sort of STDs wasn't mentioned in the question ; so I don't understand the controversy.

What I find frightening is the amount of ignorance on this board. How many here have actually been tested for EVERYTHING would not surprise me to find a few carriers amongst our ranks.

Actually, 52 is a bit of a high number, particularly if it's in just one year. And "being selective" doesn't necessarily make a difference... you could be only the second person the gal's ever been with- but that's not much comfort if the first guy she was with gave her herpes, AIDS or some other STD.

I'm very paranoid about these types of things, so I get tested every 4 months. I've always got my "papers" online and accessible. I would at not all be surprised if there weren't a few dirty people out there we know, it's a lot more common than some people think.

Again, it's not how many YOU have been with, it's how many THEY have been with. I can have 100+ women, and not be a carrier. Right?

Many years ago (when I was in my 20's), I was acquainted with a girl who slept with one guy, and she tested positive for HIV... and didn't find out until she'd slept with two other guys, who later tested positive for HIV. None of them slept around... so you can sleep with ONE person, and be a "carrier".

The more you sleep around, the more you increase your chance of exposure. You can get tested all you want... but that doesn't prevent anything except passing it along.
(Note: by "you", I don't mean you specifically, I mean "you" as in everyone).

A person with 1 partner can just as easily be a carrier as a person with 100.
