So with recent threads about the gentrification of Portland and the hatred of hipsters, and it appears hipsters are grown in Portland or at least this is some kind of mecca for them. This coupled with the realization that blacks are moving out of that city and hence it has no soul, thus making it ginger.
I just have to wonder if Portland Oregon isn't some kind of cancer growing on the west coast of USA, or maybe it's a wormhole to Canada.

Whatever. I think there's a lot about Portland that's right. :dunno If they had lanesharing I'd think about moving there.

you do know Portland is not on the border with Canada?

Anyway, I have been to Portland a couple of times and although I did not like the rain, it was a very nice city. It was clean, friendly, with nice bars and restaurants etc. If that equates to a cancer, than sign me up.

I have been to some real shit hole cities in this country and Portland does not come to mind with thinking of negative cities.

i got threatened by riots cops in portland...

i was kicked out of the secret church of elvis in portland...

in a portland strip club the girls started putting their clothes on when i entered....

my ex wife was from portland....

and not too mention too many lesbians....

portlamd can suck it.

If you want to speak about "cancers" on America, how about cities like Houston? Out of control growth, ugly as sin, etc.

i remember in the 90s, people from portland and seattle and even vancouver complained about all the cancerous californians moving to their city ...

i think that's where the problem originated...

i'm hearing the same about arizona now...

I've heard the same about the flyover states, what with CA folks using the home sale proceeds to buy a massive ranch they had no business owning, driving up the cost of ranch land for those that relied on it for so long. :(

Bullshit. Everyone knows Fresno is the cancer.

Portland is to lesbians what SF is to gays, though.

Portland isn't all there is to Oregon. It's cute, I like visiting, but it's too suburban for me.

I can get away with saying this 'cause I'm a native Oregonian. :twofinger

Portland seemed like a cool place when I was there.

They had great fireworks display, especially from the spectators firing off their own! :laughing

I heard Portland has good fud. It is on my bucket list.

sfcootz what is the best time of the year to visit Portland?
