It takes driver "sense of entitlement" to a new level :)

isn't it a known fact that bumper stickers (no matter their message) are indicators of agro mental illness? i treat cars plastered with them just like i do box trucks, and those ratty pickups filled with landscaping tools.

on another note - i can't even count the number of times i've made an obvious move to back off and let someone in only to watch them turn around and aggressively pinch someone else off that was trying to get in. it's a total dick move to expect consideration, and not give it.

There was actually a study done where ANY bumper sticker on ANY car was likely to cause the driver to become more aggressive, since they were driving something more "theirs". From Coexist to Nobama stickers...they make you dicklier on average.

I have t hill, z2 and "watch out for us, please" stickers on my 21 year old truck. I am danger personified.

Rude driver was rude. Stay kind my friend. :)

there are exceptions to every rule, and you, my dear qualify. please do not be offended if you break a mold. have not met you yet, but i suspect you break many molds.

regardless of whether or not it's a cause, at a minimum, it seems to be a predictor.

No offense, just teasing a bit. I can be an impatient driver which is why I like to ride. :ride

I take my boy to school twice a week. It's about a ten mile route and I like to break it up with coffee and a bagel at the café by the sf zoo. It makes it feel like a more leisurely morning and the ocean is pretty. I'm only a beast when I feel pressed for time. :)

I actually like the bumper stickers that say, "Driver may bail out at any moment" and "Nerds get more ass... Later" :laughing

The "car artwork" stickers that scream "DANGER! Driver is overly aggressive!!!" to me, are "Baby on Board", the sticker sets of stylized stick figure family members usually on the rear window, "Hawaiian Style", Socal and Norcal, and any bumper sticker extolling the virtues of any Democratic candidate...

I like me some clever bumperstickers, but in the end, they can all affect the right people.

As for me, I have a single one that says "I'm an artist, I create all sorts of neat shit!"

But I figure people give me a wide berth more for my NJ plates, because out-of-staters can be such wildcards on the road. :cool

I just steer clear of anyone with any political sticker on their car. I hate politics so much. Any side. All sides. Obama. Romney. Ron Paul. Shit, I still see Bush/Anti-Bush stickers. If I see any of them, I figure they're aggressive with their views, and their views may include them having to be in front of everyone at all times and at any time without a blinker.

There's a difference between aggressive and stupid, too. Politics, sports and world view stickers are aggro. Stupid vinyl "families" and baby-on-board ones to me say "the person driving this got it to tote around crotch-fruit and don't know the dimensions of it as much as they should". Or they're distracted by said crotch-fruit, phones, nagging spouses, etc.

You're more or less right.

TL;DR: People who have bumper stickers on their cars are more territorial. The territorial aggression goes up with the number of bumper stickers. It's because people who plaster their cars with self-gratifying shit are naturally more insecure about the space surrounding it.

Probably says something about people with heavily customized bikes too :p

How do we know this really happened??

Because it's a super cool story, bro!

.. I'm not sure it really makes a difference if it happened or not. He's telling a story, not asking for advice, or threatening revenge, or...

Maybe she was making space so that you could enter from the rear?

Perhaps near here:
