sorry to hear that Larry but maybe this is the time to step back and rethink why you love riding the most and look at how can you nake that last longer rather than just a memory.

In November I got a brand new 06 r6's...

I have not dropped my bike learning how to ride.. however in the past couple of months.. I dropped it 3 times one on pescadero and 2 times on 9.. the last was on 9.

So you've been riding less than a year? Sorry, but you were still learning how to ride when you crashed your brand spanking new R6s the third time.

i was with him when he crashed on pescadero the first time. reverse pescadero that is.

What the fuck is reverse Pescadero? I know Pescadero the town and Pescadero the road (shit road, don't go there), but I am unfamiliar with Reverse Pescadero....

It's right next to Llihrednuht.

BudBandit's right. Pescadero sucks. Stay away...

...from me.

I believe that's when you ride Pescadero Road with the bike upside-down.

You're both wrong........It's when you wear your BVDs over your leathers. The Ricky Racers go balz out until one of them shits their pants. It's harder to lie when the briefs are on the outside.

well here's the story. It was a nice wednesday and I went up 9 and back down at a moderate pace to make sure the road is clear of debris. going back up the first s turns.. going left I was in a full lean. then the rear skid a bit; no panic here it happens often. so i gave it a little more gas it and the rear tire grabbed. then it all the sudden let loose again.. I slid 10 feet on the pavement and about 20 on gravel. luckly i did not get dragged with the bike..

cannot explain what happened. but there was no gravel or oil on the road.. my guess is i went to low too fast.

when i get another bike i will leave it at the track.. and ride more moderate. but that is easy to say.. I know some of you riders feel me on that. (flame away).. I took my pipe off and saved it.. incase i get another r6.

most likely i will get a old 600 fzr and buy a honda s2000.

as i sat there at the side of the road i see a few bikes pass by and believe it or not people do ride the speed limit on 9.

things gould have been worse if i slid out comming down on 9.. ie cliffs.

well one does not know their limit untill he/she pushes the limit. and yes my tires were warm.. yes i road the road many times at the same pace and yes i do not ride insanely crazy.

heres a pic of the damage.. they totaled the bike because every part of it was scratehed somehow. i got 9k for it for people who wonder.. the buyback would be 2600.. too much.. if i kept it i would have 1500 dollars left to fix it.. out of 9k i will have 4400 due to the money i owe..

and yes all prople who ride will fall somehow and time. all in time.. i will ride again.. just more careful.

i was in full leathers and came out with no scratch.

and to the guy on top i did graduate college and no i am not writing an essay.

larry

ride safe.

Sorry to hear you crashed and sorry about your bike. Glad you're okay.

I think that if you're spinning the rear up regularly on the road, on dry clean pavement, you're probably pushing a bit too far.
