I'm coming up Evelyn in Funnyvale towards Bernardo when I notice people running into the intersection.

Uh oh.

Car accident, one car got pushed towards the fence fronting Central, the other car upside down. The ONLY reason I stopped was there were a coupla guys pounding & kicking the door glass in attempts to pull the person out. One guy was smacking the shit out of the passenger door glass with a crescent wrench!

The accident just happened and no police/fire just yet. I walked onto the island by the car and gave a big ol' HEY! DON'T MOVE THE PERSON WAIT FOR THE PARAMEDICS. One of the window beaters dressed in shorts, flip flops and a t-shirt sez "it's ok I'm a volunteer fireman".
:wtf

Maybe because I was all suave n shit standing there in my riding apparel he told the other samaritans to stop. Or maybe it was a good idea to stop, there were no gas leaks, smoke or flames and you could hear the sirens coming. (17 vehicles total, police/fire/ambulance from both Mt. View & Sunnyvale)

Long story short I do not know who hit who but am suspecting a red light runner and had I been just 20 seconds faster I could have been in the middle:(

It was good though to see people giving a shit and trying to rescue someone, good intentions for all.

Yes and they will all be sued! Welcome to California...

And they shall know us by our salute! :twofinger

Reminds me of when I went to BK for lunch and there was a truck stuck in the drive thru. Like thru the wall! I thought if I had been a minute sooner he might have stuck me!

Good for you Ant! :thumbup

I lulz at the volunteer fireman trying to break the window with a wrench (and not being able to do it). :laughing I can break one with your radio antenna.

You should have found an old BMW Boxer and removed it's spark plug to break the window...then afterwards you could have smoked crack with it.

:thumbup for helping out.

Good for you, OP, for stopping to help! :thumbup

You'll be sued for stopping...good job ANT!

Well all I really did was yell at a bunch of dudes but I guess it was worth risking getting a wrench thrown at me.:)

Be that as it may, you stopped, and, depending on the person's injuries, you may have ensured that they can still walk! :)

I stopped for a rollover accident last year at 280 north to 880, the “Valley Fair nightmare” exit.

I was the 3rd car to stop. Four people (teen agers) were already climbing out of the car. There was no threat of fire but I had my extinguisher anyway. Everyone was ok and 2 more cars stopped so I said “ok, that’s enough people” and told my G/F we should go.

Best not to be part of the problem if you can’t help. Leave room for the pros to take care of it and leave room for them to do their jobs.
