And he still tries to ruin it every now and then....![]()
Actually, that's Max Mosley's job.

kyle, i'd argue that turning F1 into a multi-billion dollar entity is a big part of what sucks about it (keep in mind i'm ancient, so i see it from a jackie stewart, nikki lauda viewpoint).

Well as much as I loath NASCAR, I do respect and admire the administrations ability to market and run it so well. Certainly a little of that wont hurt the AMA, which seems to be severely dysfunctional at the top.

Well, whether you like NASCAR or not (I for one think it's the most boring of motorsports around), the folks behind it have made it wildly popular. Maybe they can do the same thing for motorcycle road racing. Who knows, it could end up being bigger than NASCAR when people begin to realize how much more exciting it is.

It's also the reason that you can turn on Speed Channel and watch it live(ish). Or get up to the minute news on certain sites etc. There's needs to be a balance, obviously, but exposure and profit is a good thing in the long run.
I agree with you guys, I just hope and pray they don't try to make AMA an oval track thing. Beyond that, I think it'll be good for the sport. Hopefully they'll fix the Suzuki only winning crap. Don't get me wrong, the GSXR is a great bike and all, but I'd like to see some Hondas, Yamahas and Kawi's up there mixing it up too.

I stand (figuratively) corrected!
