Jason Pridmore STAR School Discounts!!!

Just signed up for this! First time on the track and can't wait.

I posted this on tracktactics as well:

1) If you crash the bike are you able to get back out there again or are you done for the entire school?
2) I didn't see this on star schools website but do you need to change the coolent?
3) Anything else a first timer should know/expect?

Someone mentioned that insurance covers schools but not trackdays?

Thanks,
Ren

is it possible to do only monday at t-hill and still get a discount? also is it supposed to be a 2 day school and the curriculum is set to where day day 1 u work on reference points and day 2 you work on something else or something?

Will there be anyone besides Dunlop providing Tires. What About suspension services? ( mind you, i havent read the TrackTactics web site.)

the offer for 2 days is only for 2 days. The daily rate I think was $250 so no discount.

Last time I did STAR they didnt have a tire vendor there or a suspension guy but I think they can help if you ask them with small stuff. For tires I would say fix it before you get there

You can ONLY get the discount if you sign up for 2 days course.

Yes I am almost positive they have a 2 day curriculum where the following day exceeds the first.

I am not sure about a tire vendor, you should call the STAR school customer service at (562) 802-7061. TrackTactics.com isnt always going to have all the information, they only provide the promotion price.

If a vendor is not there, I am sure Jason Pridmore has a tire changer on his huge truck (18-wheeler) in case you just need your tires changed. :thumbup

Tracktactics Promotional Price

Hey "Cling" I signed up for the 2-day course for T.Hill for Oct.12-13. I only put $250.00 down back in Sept.22. Then I saw this TrackTactics.com promotion price. I was wondering if I can still apply this to my purchase being that I did'nt purchase completely? I e*mailed JP.StarSchool and asked as well.

I don't see why not man, but if I was you, I would verify with the STAR team, they can be reached at (562) 802-7061, they are a very understanding team so you should be gtg! Good luck! :thumbup

Just heard from a guy up north that is currently attending the PIR STAR school, he just finished the first:

Just got back from Day 1 (Tuesday) at Jason Pridmore's school. Sadly I could only do one day this time. Weather was dicey most of the day, on and off rain but there was enough sun to have some dry track and good times. This was a terrific school with first class instruction and support. Its only my 4th track day but I really added to my riding skills. Jason is extremely personable and relates the info and techniques in a very understandable way--for all riding levels. Learned some great stuff to work on. His instructors (esp Damian Cudlin & Mark Gallardo) really spent time with me on and off track with a realistic analysis of my riding and what to work on to make it better.

I am definitely going back in the spring.(probably Thunder Hill) Many of the riders there had been to multiple Pridmore schools. One guy has been to over 20. Now I know the reason. You could not go wrong with Pridmore's Star Motorcycle school.

I am heading out for the SoW STAR school now peeps! Whoever signed up, cya there!!!!! :thumbup

Jason Pridmore's STAR School

Ok, let me start off by saying that I consider myself a pretty quick rider.. when I went to the STAR school I didn't really plan on learning a whole lot of ground breaking information about riding, because I thought I already had a pretty firm grasp on how it all works. Well, I will be the first to admit, that my original assumptions about what the STAR school was going to be like for me were completely wrong. I learned a TON! of new stuff! Jason Pridmore himself taught all the class room session personally, he is just a blast to listen to because he explains everything absolutely perfectly, it was all so easy to understand when he explained it, that you could go out on the next session and put it strait into practice on the track! The sessions were awesome, 20 minute alternating sessions, and if you were not on the track, you were in the classroom with Jason. At the end of each day, Jason did suit up and jump on his stock GSXR 1000 to provide 2-up rides for whoever dared to jump on back, it is really eye opening when he can ride faster and smoother than most of us with an extra 150-220 lb's on the tail end of his bike. We didnt have a single crash the entire 2-days, and it was an absolutely wonderful learning atmosphere, his instructors were constantly pulling people off the track and instructing them on any problem areas they had. His instructors were also 100% dedicated to training the entire two days, they did not spend even a second yahoo'ing it around the track just for fun, they were always tailing somebody that was having problems. All and all, it was hands down the best money I have ever spent for the track! :thumbup And a huge thank you to Jason himself for suiting up at the end of the day and giving me a personal lesson... it was an awe inspiring moment of my life.

I hate you! LOL

I'm so mad I had to miss this event. I know Jason pretty well and have met Mark on several occasions. Jason was one of the nicest guys in the AMA paddock. I used to go out to dinner with his mom and Suzi (ex-wife) while he was busy with AMA related stuff, Great people. Which makes me even more mad for missing it. Glad you had such a great experience. I always recommend Jason's school to people that ask.I need to hit one of his event's for sure.

Nice!

I can't wait to attend the STAR school on the 12th and 13th. I'm freakin excited since it's my first time on the track.
